Community Grants
Good ideas shouldn't stall over a budget.
Our grants help local groups bring people together: parent nights, speaker events, device-free gatherings, and projects that help families use technology in healthy, intentional, age-appropriate ways.
Last year we funded 17 grants, from speaker nights to film screenings.
What we fund
Projects that:
- Bring families and communities together
- Help people understand how technology affects kids
- Offer practical tools for healthy tech use
Grants can cover supplies and materials, speaker fees, venue and equipment, and marketing.
How much
Most grants range from $250 to $2,500, depending on the project's scope and impact.
Who can apply
Grants are available to community groups registered on Four Norms as Turning Life On groups. Not registered yet? It's quick, and we'll help you set it up. Start a group
Registered under a national organization? Let us know, and we'll move you over. Talk to someone
We can also help you book free community space using our 501(c)(3) status, and apply for funding from other sources.

How it works
- Download the application, fill it out, and email it to info@turninglifeon.org.
- We review applications on a rolling basis and will get back to you within 2 to 3 weeks of receiving yours.
- Within 30 days of your event, send us a short summary report.
What we ask in return
Every event we fund helps us raise money for the next one, so we ask grant recipients to:
- Collect RSVPs through your Turning Life On-connected Four Norms group, so we can show funders the impact
- Put the Turning Life On logo on flyers, programs and slides
- Display our event sign, with its donation QR code, at your event
- Include a line like "This event is made possible through a grant from Turning Life On" in your materials
- Tag @TurningLifeOn on social media when you can
Everything you need is under Downloads, so this takes about five minutes.
